When having your eyebrows tattooed it’s important to take a less is more approach. I advise my clients to wait 1½ to 2 years before coming in for their annual touch up. Over this time, the ink in your brows will fade and shrink allowing your next touch up to look light and fresh. Many cosmetic tattoo artists do too many touch ups for their clients, which leads to over-saturated brows.
It is important to understand that your brows won’t look perfect as they begin to fade in between each touch up. This is normal and not a reason to come back for more ink. The skin is like a sponge, it can only absorb so much ink before each additional touch up becomes ineffective.
By limiting touch ups we can maintain the integrity of your skin and you will have soft natural cosmetic tattooing long term. We want your brows to be your natural brows but better! They can always be filled in with makeup as you would with your natural brows between touch ups.
REMEMBER eyebrow tattooing is not a replacement for makeup, eyebrow tattooing should be an enhancement to your brows, looking natural and soft when you are not wearing makeup.
